FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines.
SUBSTANCE: method includes checking of engine unit shaft and control the engine to prevent exceeding preset speed with activation of limiter at one mode of operation. In this case limiter sets corrective value, depending on shaft speed by which control action is corrected for changing adjustable parameter of engine unit. Engine unit control device considered in invention provides control at least at one mode of operation. Limiter is controlled depending on at least one other operating parameter to prevent influence of this parameter onto output parameter.
EFFECT: improved efficiency of device in operation.
