FIELD: ecology.

SUBSTANCE: method includes taking samples of humus soil level, preparation of samples, analysis of soil samples for presence of heavy metals. Additionally, samples of dominating plant growth are taken, sample of flora is prepared for further determination of mobile forms of heavy metals by performing acidic extraction and determining heavy metals presence therein. Then flora samples are prepared for determining chlorophyll amount in sample by grinding dried plants, extracting chlorophyll by ethanol from portion of powdered sample, photo-metrically, in light beam with wave length 660 nm optical density is determined, values of which are used to determine presence of chlorophyll in samples. Results are processed statistically on basis of analytical data complex for both soil and plants and if positive abnormal fields of heavy metals in soils and plants and negative abnormal areas of chlorophyll presence in plants match, presence of areas of different levels of degradation of environment is determined with following mapping of ecological state of environment.
