SUBSTANCE: waveguide section is made in the form of truncated pyramid measuring a x a on one end, b x c, on other end, and having height greater than or equal to 2λ. Two wedges are introduced in waveguide section to form square-section-to-Tee transition. Pyramidal wedges have base 0.2λ x 0.7 and height equal to that of waveguide section, where λ/2 < a < b < c ≤ λ; λ is wavelength in free space.
EFFECT: simplified design, facilitated manufacture, improved performance characteristics.
