FIELD: method of production of beryllium compounds, namely ammonium fluoro-beryllate used for production of beryllium fluoride.
SUBSTANCE: ammonium fluoro-beryllate is produced from beryllium-containing material by action of fluorine agent followed by separation of reaction products. Beryllium-containing material is subjected to fluxless melting. Melt thus obtained is leached-out under hydro-thermal conditions at temperature of 150-180°C and pH=7.5-9.0 for 2-5 h by aqueous solution of ammonium bifluoride; mole ratio of fluorine to beryllium is equal to 10-15. Melt may be depulped in mother liquors and flushing water obtained at separation of reaction products.
EFFECT: simplified procedure; enhanced selectivity; possibility of utilization of wastes of metallic beryllium.
