SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in ventilation and heating systems and as air flow generator in pneumatic systems of grain cleaners. Novelty is that in proposed cross-flow fan with scroll housing with outlet port and pressure branch pipe adjoining outlet port, bladed impeller installed in scroll housing rectilinear wall of pressure branch pipe adjacent to inlet port and dust-laden air outlet channel whose inlet port is arranged at inner surface of scroll housing in place of mating with wall of pressure branch pipe, inlet port of dust-laden air outlet channel having clearance ▵ between edge of its wall and fan scroll housing equal to 0.075D₂ is arranged in zone of turning of scroll housing limited by angle α equal to 165° and is provided with louvered section of length S equal to (0.36...0.42)D₂ with clearance δ between plates (0.03...0.035)D₂ where D₂ is outer diameter of impeller.

EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities, improved reliability.
