FIELD: forming of glass containers, in particular, system and methods for liquid cooling of forms for manufacture of glass containers.
SUBSTANCE: system has pair of manipulators for forms positioned for movement toward one another and away from one another, at least one part of form carried by each of manipulators and adapted for engagement with other part of form for defining single form for glass container. Each of said parts has at least one cooling liquid channel equipped with inlet opening and outlet opening, which are arranged adjacent to one another at one end of form part, and coolant collector carried by each of manipulators in the vicinity of one end of at least one part of form. Collector has inlet channel and outlet channel for cooling liquid, said channels communicating with inlet opening and outlet opening of at least one part of form, cooling liquid source, and accumulator for returning of cooling liquid arranged in fixed position near manipulator, and pivot connection means for operatively connecting said source and accumulator for returning of cooling liquid with collector. Pivot connection means has parallel paths for flowing of cooling liquid to direct said cooling liquid from said source through pivot connection means and inlet channel of collector into inlet opening of form through form part, and from outlet opening of form through outlet channel of collector and pivot connection means into accumulator for returning of cooling liquid.
EFFECT: provision for producing of glass container manufacturing form wherein through channels for coolant are concealed and protected from abrasive and fatigue wearing under rigid operating conditions of system for forming of glass containers.
