FIELD: machine engineering, possibly electromechanical working by grinding and polishing wheels with use of combined techniques at applying active impregnators for enhancing structure of surface layer.
SUBSTANCE: process comprises steps of imparting rotation motion and feed motion along worked surface to blank and to longitudinally intermittent wheel mounted with inclination relative to lengthwise axis. Working is realized by means of wheel at supplying electric current during finish transition and dwelling. Said wheel includes diamond-abrasive discs and copper-graphite intermittent discs arranged between first discs and having alternating recesses and protrusions of the same length. By means of intermittent current collector DC is supplied at time moment of breaking contact between impregnated discs and blank. As wheel becomes worn and its diameter decreases, inclination angle of wheel is increased.
EFFECT: improved cutting condition, vibration resistance, efficiency, reduced wear of wheel, enhanced quality of working.
