FIELD: electrified transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to contact wires for supply of rails and city transport. Proposed contact wire has lower wear-resistant contact part 2 of thickness not exceeding value of tolerable wear of wire, and upper copper current-carrying part 1. Contact part 2 is made discretely from alternating fragments of copper-aluminum or copper-zinc diffusion layer 3, and material of current-carrying part. Length of fragments and distance between fragments should be smaller than length of contact zone between wire and current collector.
EFFECT: increased wear resistance of contact wire.
