FIELD: metallurgy, in particular, preparing of air tuyeres of blast furnaces for operation.
SUBSTANCE: method involves applying aluminum-containing coat onto side surface of flange-free tuyere using metal pistol movable in parallel with tuyere surface to be coated, from one edge thereof to the other edge at linearly altering velocity of from Vb to Vf; rotating tuyeres at angular velocity linearly altering from ωb to ωf, with ratio of tuyere rotational velocity and metal pistol velocity making: db/df=ωf/ωb=Vf/Vb, where db, df are diameters of tuyere at the beginning site of surface to be coated from some edge and at the final site, respectively; ωb, ωf are angular rotational velocities of tuyere at the beginning and at final stage of coating process, respectively; Vb, Vf are velocities of metal pistol at the beginning and at final stage of coating process, respectively. Distance between metal pistol and surface to be coated is 70-90 mm.
EFFECT: increased efficiency in preparing of blast furnace tuyere for functioning.
