FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: method involves shot-blasting treatment of working copper surface of tuyere, application thereto of aluminium-bearing gas-thermal coating, and heat treatment which involves the furnace tuyere heating up to 780-800°C, exposure during 4-10 h and cooling in the furnace. Thickness of coating on external surface of tuyere is 0.5-0.6 mm, and it exceeds the thickness of coating on its external surface by not less than 40% on surface of blasting channel of tuyere.

EFFECT: reduction of the number of treatment operations of air tuyere surface.
