SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the field of pipeline transportation, in particular, to plugging devices for blanking pipelines of various designation and may be used in different branches of industry. On the body of the plugging device there is a toroidal form shell being deformed under action of a working medium pressure. In the initial state the external and internal parts of the shell oriented along the axis are concaved aside the axis and the shell butts are fixed on the body, which contains the rigidly coupled with each other disk components. The body is made with a supporting component, on which there is the shell. The body surface facing the internal surface of the shell repeats its shape in the initial state. In a specific case of production the body surface facing the internal part of the shell forms with it a cavity filled in the initial state with a liquid. The invention offers a version of the device, in which the shell is opened on the side of its butts, in the initial state it is concaved in direction of the axis of rotation and fixed by its edges on the body with formation of a cavity between a shell and the body for feeding of the working medium. The invention expands the arsenal of the pipeline transportation equipment.
