FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pipeline transport and can be used to shut off oil pipelines and product pipelines. Silencing device is an elastic chamber 1, which includes a power frame. On the outer cylindrical surface of the elastic chamber there is a group of sealing annular friction protrusions 3 of rectangular cross-section made with non-rounded edges. Height of each friction protrusion 3 does not exceed its width. Also on the outer cylindrical surface of the chamber 1 there is one or two annular sealing protrusions 4 located on one or both sides of the group of friction protrusions 3. Protrusion or protrusions 4 are separated from the extreme friction protrusions 3 at a distance several times greater than the distance between the friction protrusions 3, and have a height greater than the height of the protrusions 3.
EFFECT: invention allows to significantly increase the retained pressure of the working environment of the pipeline by increasing the adhesion force of the elastic chamber 1 with the surface of the pipeline 5, and also to improve the reliability of sealing the pipeline 5 by reducing the shear of the sealing protrusion along the pipe, which ensures maximum sealing of large irregularities on the inner surface of the pipe.
