FIELD: medicine, vascular surgery.
SUBSTANCE: one should form anastomosis between external and internal carotid arteries by "end-to-end" type located above stenosis level. Moreover, branches of external carotid artery should be ligated, then crossed by developing a lumen. Affected internal carotid artery should be dissected against general carotid artery to be shortened up to the level of the stump of initial department of external carotid artery. The stump of initial department of external carotid artery should be brought nearer with tat of internal carotid artery to be sutured. Defect site in general carotid artery after dissection should be sutured in either with endarterectomy or without it. The innovation enables to simplify operative interference.
EFFECT: higher efficiency and safety of therapy.
