FIELD: railway signaling and communication; traffic control.

SUBSTANCE: according to proposed method, voice frequency ac signal is applied to rail line at one end, and at other end current value of signal is compared with threshold occupied and clear values. If occupied threshold value exceeds current value, track section is considered occupied and if current value exceeds threshold value, track section is considered clear. As distinct from known methods, when train enters adjacent track section at other adjacent track section clear, current voltage of receiver of considered track section, being reference voltage, is recorded, and currents of supply ends, at in-turn connection of supply source to each end of rail line, are recorded also. Then track occupied threshold voltage is found by multiplying reference voltage by voltage drop coefficient, and track clear threshold voltage is found by multiplying track occupied threshold voltage by safety factor. Then track occupied and clear threshold voltages are constantly corrected with due account of changes of current from extreme shunt of supply end until rail line is occupied. Threshold voltage are changed proportionally. When rail line is clear, threshold voltages are corrected with due account of changes of current at other end of rail line for reliable checking of state of track section at interval of passage of less than three block-sections. Correction of threshold voltage is carried out proportionally to change of currents of supply ends.

EFFECT: improved reliability and accuracy of checking state of track sections.
