FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: track section unoccupancy control method means that a variable voltage signal is applied to one end of rail track and the actual current value is compared on the same end with the occupancy threshold value, while on the other end the actual voltage value is compared with the unoccupancy threshold value. When the occupancy threshold value exceeds the actual value, the section occupancy is recorded, and when the actual value exceeds the unoccupancy threshold value, the section unoccupancy is recorded. When the train approaches the power supply end, the track power supply is switched off for a short time, then the threshold value on the receiving end is recorded and in this moment section occupancy is recorded, when the power supply current exceeds the threshold value, which corresponds to the power supply current, when a standard shunt is placed on this end with dry ballast. Non-exceedance of the actual voltage value on the receiving end over the threshold value is continuously monitored, and when the threshold value is exceeded, the track section unoccupancy is recorded and threshold value is redefined.
EFFECT: increased reliability of track section status control.
