METHOD FOR MANUAL DIAGNOSTICS AND CORRECTION OF VERTEBRAL FUNCTIONAL STATES Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC A61H1/00 

FIELD: medicine, manual therapy.

SUBSTANCE: one should perform palpation with thumbs from both sides of paravertebral muscles in patient's standing position or sitting at level of S1-L5, L3-L2, Th12-Th11, Th8-Th7, Th5-Th4, Th2-Th1, C5-C4, C3-C2. Patients should be asked to make inclination to the front or make a forced inhalation in patient's standing or sitting position. According fingers' movement it is necessary to detect asymmetry of muscular contraction. Then one should diagnose vertebral functional state, the state of inferior limbs and pelvis based upon the information obtained. One should perform correction either with a mounting and(or) insole for buttocks beginning from 0.3-0.4 mm till removing asymmetry of muscular contraction. The method enables to objectivize and unify diagnostics methods and those for correcting asymmetry of muscular movement.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of manual diagnostics.
