FIELD: microwave electronics; microwave oscillators.

SUBSTANCE: proposed microwave oscillator has cathode, anode grids, and collector, all insulated from each other and installed in tandem. Each anode grid is connected to its respective positive-voltage supply relative to cathode, and these voltage supplies incorporate provision for voltage regulation. Formulas for setting desired voltage across each voltage supply for non-relativistic case and for relativistic case are given in description of invention.

EFFECT: enhanced oscillator efficiency due to regulating profile of potential well to obtain isochronous oscillations therein.
