FIELD: electronics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to relativist super high frequency (SHF) electronics and may be used for generating high-power pulses or periodic pulse sources of SHF radiation. The microwave radiator on the basis of vircator with running wave aerials contains serial arrangement of electron emitter and anodic electrode in vacuum chamber. The said electronic emitter and anodic electrode with diaphragm are separated from each other and connected to power supply. The radiator also includes electron collector separated from anodic electrode and reverse current distributor connecting anodic electrode and collector. The reverse current distributor is also a mean to discharge SHF radiation. There is a diverter provided between anodic electrode and electron collector. Having diverter installed between anodic electrode and collector, the collector potential is reduced. As a result, disruption effects are eliminated and charge of the beam accumulated on the collector is increased. It means that efficiency factor of SHF radiation generation is increased due to prolonged generation.
EFFECT: increased efficiency factor of SHF radiation generation due to prolonged generation and accumulation of greater electric charge on collector.
