FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: microwave oscillator on the basis of virtual cathode (VC) with radial beam includes coaxial diode installed in vacuum chamber and connected to external power supply, and formed with hollow cylindrical cathode and hollow electron-transparent anode arranged in it and connected to housing of vacuum chamber, and passing to the output device of microwave radiation; in anode cavity there galvanically located is axial electrode connected to cathode; at that, cathode-anode and anode-axial electrode pairs form coaxial lines with equal wave resistance, and are installed so that there arranged is artificial positive feedback. Besides the part of cathode, which simulates electrons, can be installed with possibility of axial movement. Formed internal coaxial lines arrange during generation of microwave radiation the artificial positive feedback leading to additional modulation of beam of electrons.
EFFECT: increasing efficiency of microwave radiation generation owing to arrangement of artificial positive feedback leading to additional modulation of electron beam.
