FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves recording general electroretinogram and carrying out Doppler flowmetry examination of blood flow circulating in the extracranial internal vena cava and orbital artery segment. Coefficient of KCHI is calculated from formula of KCHI = 6.33 - 0.01BWA - 3.20COR OA, where KCHI is the chronic hepatic insufficiency coefficient in conditional units; BWA is the b-wave amplitude on the general electroretinogram in mcW; COR OA is the ophthalmic carotid ratio of the orbital artery determined on basis of Doppler flowmetry examination data. Chronic hepatic insufficiency stage is determined by interpreting the KCHI value in a way that KCHI value being 2.0 to 2.5 corresponds to chronic hepatic insufficiency I stage; 2.6 to 2.9 corresponds to chronic hepatic insufficiency II stage; 3.0 to 3.3 corresponds to chronic hepatic insufficiency III stage; KCHI value being ≥3.4, chronic hepatic insufficiency IV stage is diagnosed. KCHI ≤ 1.9 c.u is observed in healthy people and in nephrologic patients manifesting no chronic hepatic insufficiency signs.
EFFECT: high accuracy of diagnosis.
