METHOD FOR PREDICTING ATTENTION DEFICIENCY SYNDROME IN AN EXPERIMENT IN ANIMALS Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC A61B5/16

Abstract RU 2269295 C2

FIELD: experimental medicine.

SUBSTANCE: an animal should be presented with spatially distributed target stimuli that require implementation of desired motor reaction followed by reinforcement. Reinforcement at reacting the presentation of one of the target stimuli should be increased by 4-6 times to be presented by discrete portions coming at intervals of not less than 3 sec. Along with target stimuli it is necessary to introduce constantly acting visual stimuli that enable to detect the location of the greatest reinforcement in the row of spatially distributed target stimuli. Testing for the capacity for changing attention from target stimuli to constantly acting visual reference points should be fulfilled with separate samples due to their simultaneous inclusion, moreover, application of samples for attention should be started after 4-5 times of presenting each of target stimuli altered in random order. Indicator for the presence of attention deficiency is considered to be animal's incapacity to infallible fulfillment of 4 testing sample running at initial location of the greatest reinforcement and alteration of its spatial localization.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of diagnostics.
