FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: what is involved is a stereotactic damage of the extrapyramidal cerebral system by selective unilateral electrolytic damage of the dorsal head of caudate nucleus contralateral to an animal's extremity, making the directed movement. The motor activity is tested by supplying visual differentiation signals requiring the developed motor response to be generated in the form of pressing a pedal by a front (working) extremity supported by a reward, or refraining from it. The number of start-up visual signals requiring the motor response and the inhibitory visual signals requiring refraining from it within the test sequence of signals is equal. The differentiation signals are supplied randomly. Intention tremor is detected in the form of quick (5-10Hz) antagonistic phase motions of the working extremity when pressing on the pedal as a motor response initiated by supplying the start-up visual signal.
EFFECT: simulating intention tremor with reduced injuries and minimised side effects.
