FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method of manufacture of molds includes manufacture of master model, obtaining metal copy of its working surface, application of structural layer, separation of molding part from master model; metal copy of master model, 1-2 mm in thickness is made from copper or nickel or from chromium by galvanoplastics method and is covered with carbide coat, 25-100 mcm thick; structural layer is applied to carbide coat.
EFFECT: increased service life of molds; improved quality of molded articles; facilitated procedure; increased hardness of working surface; improved labor conditions.
