FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method involves questioning patient using questionnaire composed of 9 questions on patient complaints like vision haze, long-distance vision degradation, short-distance vision degradation, distortion and curvature of things and lines, vision field reduction, availability of spots in front of eyes, things image size reduction, things image size increase. Each question has yes or no as two answer versions. It shows availability or lack of corresponding sign. An answer being affirmative, symptom manifestation intensity degree is evaluated as insignificant, moderate or marked. The answer relative to availability of spots before an eye involves determining the number of spots as single, several, many; the size as small, middle-sized, large; transparence as nearly transparent, translucent or opaque. A score value is assigned to each answer from 0 to 3. 0 corresponds to negative answer, 1 to insignificant symptom manifestation, 2 to moderate one and 3 to marked one. The scores are summed. Vision quality is determined as mean value * 33.33% with zero corresponding to no complaints case and 100 maximum degree manifestation of all symptoms.

EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness in determining vision function disorder in quantitative way separately for each eye.
