To determine the degree of visual impairment in patients before keratoplasty and improvement after keratoplasty for keratectasias of various genesis, the quality of vision is assessed by determining the highest order aberration of the “coma” category before surgery and 6 months after surgery. A survey is conducted on the questionnaires “Assessment of the quality of vision of patients before keratoplasty” and “Assessment of the quality of vision of patients after keratoplasty”, characterizing the blocks: volumetric vision, central vision, near-focus vision, mesopic vision, color perception, parasitic effects, tolerance of additional correction. Evaluation of the results is carried out in points. With an integral score of 6-36, a slight degree of visual impairment/improvement is determined, 42-104 - average, 110-140 - high.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to evaluate the quality of vision before and after surgery, compare the data obtained and determine the effectiveness of keratoplasty.
