METHOD FOR DETERMINING INDICATIONS FOR THE TREATMENT OF COMPUTER VISION SYNDROME Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC A61B3/00

Abstract RU 2776696 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ophthalmology and occupational safety and is intended to determine indications for the treatment of computer vision syndrome. The coefficient of microfluctuations of the ciliary muscle of the eye (CMF) is determined in the patient using objective accommodography and the questionnaire “Assessment of the quality of life in patients with computer vision syndrome (“CVS-22”), presented in the description in the Table containing 22 questions, is used. The patient is asked, answering each question, to choose one of five answer options, and each answer option corresponds to a certain point score (“weighting factor”). If the total number of points is more than 175 and the CMF is less than 53.0 or more than 58.0 rel. units, indications for the treatment of CVS are determined.

EFFECT: invention provides the possibility of obtaining an objective assessment of the state of visual functions in CVS to address the need for correction of functional disorders.
