FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines.
SUBSTANCE: proposed internal combustion engine contains at least two operating cylinders with opposite operating pistons, connecting toe-rods hinge coupled with first ends with pistons of first operating cylinder, crank-shaft, connecting rods coupled by first heads with crankshaft, main double-arm rockers, first arms of which are hinge-coupled with second ends of connecting toe-rods of pistons of first operating cylinder, and whose second arms are hinge-coupled with second heads of connecting rods. Two opposite connecting rods are arranged, respectively, in relatively intersecting planes square to plane of crankshaft rotation. Connecting rods are arranged so that when one of them is in position of top or bottom dead center of piston coupled with said connecting rod, other connecting rod is in position differing from top or bottom dead center of piston coupled with said connecting rod. Engine is furnished additionally with at least one linear electric machine with stator and rotor, at least one additional tie-rod connecting first arm of main double-arm rocker with rotor and with first arm of one of additional double-arm rockers. Axles of rocking of rockers are arranged on support levers. First arms of additional double-arm rockers are hinge-coupled with first arms of double-arm rockers, and second arms are hinge-coupled with connecting tie-rods of pistons of second operating cylinder.
EFFECT: increased economy, power and efficiency, reduced linear overall dimensions of engine, reduced loads in motion conversion mechanism and specific mass, improved ecological characteristics.
