FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: method involves determining type of milk productivity from formula T=D/K, where D is age (days) at which animal reaches economic maturity; K is reduction coefficient of relative growth rate of animals. Calves having T=8.3 and less are considered as high milk productivity animals, with T=38.1 and more calves are considered as low milk productivity animals and calves with T=8.4-38.0 are considered as average milk productivity animals.

EFFECT: increased efficiency in determining formation of milk type animals and provision for reliable forecasting of animal's milk productivity.
