FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention represents a method for prediction of milk productivity of cows by element composition of wool, including sampling of wool weighing not less than 0.4 g from upper part of withers on 30 days after calving, further estimation of concentration of Pb and Cd by methods of atomic emission and mass spectrometry with inductively coupled plasma, with total amount of moles of Pb and Cd below 0.253 mmol/g of wool is referred to group of cows with potentially high milk productivity.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to predict milk yield of cows.
