FIELD: shipbuilding; building of submersible vehicles at control of depth of submergence by means of hydrofoil profiles.
SUBSTANCE: proposed submersible vehicle has positive buoyancy pressure hull provided with two pairs of hydrofoils in fore and aft parts, hydrodynamic propulsor and course control unit. Pressure hull is surrounded with fairwater which is permeable for water below waterline. Volume between fairwater and pressure hull above waterline is divided into compartments by means of watertight walls: horizontal at level of waterline, vertical longitudinal wall and several vertical transversal walls; all these walls have holes at the top and at the bottom on sides. Holes are provided with opening covers. Hydrofoils are fully tiltable. It is good practice to make hydrofoils of trapezoidal shape in plan with biconvex profile formed by curves of monotonic derivative and maximum near-chord center. Axis of rotation of hydrofoils may pass through center of chord.
