FIELD: electrical engineering, applicable for control of start of synchronous motors, in particular, for synchronization of synchronous motors with a double armature winding.
SUBSTANCE: the synchronous motor control device has the main and additional three-phase stator windings, switches, a three-phase electric power source, three-phase uncontrolled rectifier, exciting winding of the synchronous motor shunted by a circuit composed of a series-connected switch and a resistor, choke. The choke and the switch that connects the choke to the leads of the alternating current uncontrolled rectifier are made single-phase ones. Switching-on of the single-phase choke causes an asymmetry of current in the motor stator additional winding, which more effectively reduces the degree of compound excitation of the exciting device.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability of motor synchronization that is, the probability of successful involving of the motor in synchronism, simplified construction.
