FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fire-resistant glasing. The fire-resistant glazing contains at least one layer of intumescent material based on hydrated sodium silicate. The intumescent material is obtained by drying industrial sodium silicate solution with addition of a suspension of colloidal silicon dioxide. Molar ratio SiO2/Na2O of the intumescent layer ranges from 3.2 to 3.8, and water content ranges from 20 to 35 wt %.
EFFECT: shorter time for drying solutions based on which an intumescent layer is formed while maintaining high refractory properties and high resistance of the glasing to ageing.
