FIELD: railway transport; signaling and communication.

SUBSTANCE: invention is designed for interval control of traffic. According to proposed method, ac signal is applied to rail line at one end by means of track generator, and at other end signal is received by receiver, and receiver input voltage is recorded. Track occupied and clear threshold values are preset. Current value of voltage at receiver input is compared with track clear threshold value. Track generator and receiver are connected in turn to each rail line of track section, and current of supply end of each rail line is recorded additionally. Track section is considered occupied when current value of supply end exceeds track occupied threshold value which is taken equal to current of supply end when shunt is applied to place of connection of supply end instruments to rail line when ballast is dry. Taken as track clear threshold value is voltage corresponding to minimum voltage at input of receiver at application of shunt multiplied by voltage rise coefficient at clearing of track section which is equal to 15.

EFFECT: improved reliability of checking condition of track sections.
