FIELD: railway transport; signaling and communication; interval traffic control.
SUBSTANCE: according to proposed method, ac signal is supplied to rail line at one end, and change of signal is checked at other end, threshold line clear voltage is determined and current voltage in rail line is compared with threshold line clear voltage, and if current voltage exceeds threshold line clear voltage, line is considered clear. Taken as threshold line clear voltage is product of current voltage of preceding rail line on condition that said line and line preceding said line are clear, by occupation coefficient and longitudinal symmetry coefficient, both coefficients being functions of said voltage. Line is considered occupied if current of supply source exceeds threshold value which corresponds to current of supply source at application of normal shunt to place of connection of supply source at maximum insulation resistance, and supply source proper is connected to input end of rail line and following rail line is occupied.
EFFECT: improved safety of traffic.
