FIELD: forming fixed layers in metallurgy; production of cast iron and steel semi-finished products from iron-containing raw materials in melting gas generator.
SUBSTANCE: lump loose material including ore- or carbon-containing constituents, preliminarily reduced iron ore in particular, mainly sponge iron and lump coal is loaded on surface of charge after which ore- and carbon-containing components of loose material are smoothly mixed. Entire ore-containing constituent is loaded in active peripheral zone of fixed layer where ore- and carbon-containing constituents are smoothly mixed. According to another version, loose material is scattered by means of scattering device getting on radial distribution unit in radial and tangential directions, as viewed from above. Proposed method is utilized with the aid of scattering device and centering unit. Provision is made for loading coal not into one point of gas generator, but scatter it as required depending on grain size, for example axisymmetrically over surface of layer; lump coal of larger size in center of layer and coal of smaller size is loaded in peripheral zone. Novelty of invention consists in obtaining adequate layer of gas generator to avoid fluctuations in pressure and composition of gas system above layer, thus excluding action of gas flows on reducing gas.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency.
