FIELD: storage of radioactive materials.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device is made in the form of basket and has plurality of straight bundled metal tubes. It also has mounting facilities grouping tubes in parallel to each other against regular mesokurtic to form plurality of compartments suited to store radioactive materials. Each tube forms, in effect, solid wall for respective compartment. Basket also has plurality of metal cross-pieces, each incorporating three flanges joined together by means of common edge. Cross-pieces are disposed between tubes to form second solid wall around first wall of each compartment and are held in partial contact with this wall.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability and holding capacity of device.
