FIELD: medical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: device has resilient branches ending in working members. When external, a branch is manufactured as tube. When internal, it is manufactured as rod concentrically placed in the external branch allowing circular movements to be performed. The working members for capturing and folding flexible intraocular lens are shaped as hand palms rounded along fingers forming a chamber when being brought close. The branches have spring-loaded levers statically supporting working members in continuously closed position and unclosing them when implanting intraocular lens.

EFFECT: accelerated operation; reduced risk of traumatic complications; excluded use of fork spatula and other traditionally applicable instruments.
