FIELD: medicine; medical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method involves making incision in cornea, fixing and implanting refraction lens with working instrument. After having made the corneal incision, the anterior chamber is filled with viscoelastic material having low molecular weight and the refraction lens is implanted by means of cannula connected to vacuum source. To do it, the refraction lens is fixed using working end of the cannula in the middle of space between lens edge and optical part boundary. The edge is bent over cannula end. The refraction lens is introduced into the corneal incision with its bent border tip and mounted in the posterior chamber of the eye. Then, the cannula is detached from the refraction lens when releasing vacuum, and the cannula is removed from the anterior chamber in performing reversed movement.
EFFECT: reduced risk of traumatic complications in operation field; accelerated operation; improved quality.
