FIELD: mechanical engineering; recycling of tires.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to separators for separating ferromagnetic particles from loose material flow. In proposed separator separation chamber is made in form of hollow cylindrical drum, and magnetic system is formed by two disks installed for rotation relative to drum axle at its end faces. Electromagnetic coils supplied with current are installed in bodies of disks. Disks with electromagnetic coils rotate in opposite directions creating pulsating magnetic field inside separation chamber. Ferromagnetic particles hang up in magnetic field, and nonmagnetic particles are brought out of separation chamber under action of gravity forces. Separator contains two separation chamber operating in turn.
EFFECT: improved separation of metal particles.
