SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the field of the control of the process of production of magnesium by electrolysis of the chloromagnesium raw materials. The method to control the process of production of magnesium by electrolysis of the chloromagnesium raw materials includes the charging of the melted raw materials in the electrolytic bath, measurement of the level of the electrolyte, measurement of the concentration of magnesium chloride in the electrolyte in the process of the electrolysis, the periodical charging of the raw materials with the measurements of the concentration of magnesium chloride in the electrolyte, comparison of the data and the sampling of the metal. At that after the periodical charging the database of the computer is added with the values of the level and the concentration, calculate the amount of the correcting charge and the upper level of the raw materials charge and charge the given amount of the raw materials in the electrolytic bath according to the reading of the level signalization device. The invention ensures achievement of the optimum indices of the electrolytic bath performance, reduction of the raw materials consumption, increased magnesium output per a unit of the electric current.
