FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves studying amniotic fluid by carrying out transabdominal amniocentesis at the 16-40 pregnancy week. IgG to Epstein-Barr virus is determined in amniotic fluid sample by applying immunoenzyme analysis method. Optical density of sample under study being greater than 1.4xOPcrit, where is the OPcrit = OPmeanK-+0.1, where OPmeank- is the negative amniotic fluid controls mean value, Epstein-Barr virus infection is predicted to take place in the newborn baby case.
EFFECT: simplified prognosis method.
