FIELD: mechanical engineering; welding.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to resistance flash-butt welding machines designed for connection of long-length articles. Proposed machine has fixed clamp, auxiliary clamp, guides, movable clamp installed for movement relative to fixed clamp in guides along in guides along longitudinal axis of articles to be welded, and device to remove reinforcement of weld. Auxiliary clamp is rigidly coupled with fixed clamp and it is made for holding articles to be welded when removing reinforcement of weld in process of weld cooling and at tightening the articles during auxiliary operations before welding. Movable clamp is arranged between fixed and auxiliary clamps.

EFFECT: enlarged functional capabilities of machine when connecting long-length articles.
