FIELD: plastic working of metals, possibly universal and vertical rolling stands of rolling mills, namely systems for transmitting rotation from motor through pinion stand to vertical rolls of rolling stand of strip rolling mill.
SUBSTANCE: stand includes frame supporting drive pinion stand and changeable rolling unit. The last is joined with pinion stand of spindle by means of upper and lower heads. Said heads are joined with rolls of pinion stand and rolls of rolling unit by means of splined joints. Each spindle is provided with piston type power cylinders of mechanisms for moving lower heads. Each mechanism for moving lower heads is in the form of pneumatic cylinder mounted coaxially to spindle shaft. Base of said pneumatic cylinder is arranged on upper head. Hollow rod is joined with lower head with possibility of fixing its positions by means of annular grooves of hollow rod and stopper. The last is mounted on base or on head of pneumatic cylinder.
EFFECT: lowered labor consumption, shortened time period for changing rolls of rolling unit.
