FIELD: apparatus with gaseous medium for material treatment.

SUBSTANCE: claimed apparatus includes at least one hydraulic lock containing fluid medium layer one surface of which is in contact with microwave field and the other one is in contact with environment. On the one surface additional liquid layer is placed wherein said liquid layer is immiscible with fluid medium layer, and fluid medium is chemically and physically inert to gaseous medium. Additional liquid layer absorbs microwave field, and fluid medium layer is translucent therefor. As fluid medium perfluorodecalin - C₁₀F₁₈, perfluorotributylamine - C₁₂F₂₇N, perfluorodimethylcyclohexane - C₈F₁₈ are used, and as liquid water, aqueous solutions of Na₂CO₃, NaOH, HCl and/or H₂O₂, HCl and/or HNO₃, H₂SO₄ and HCl and/or H₂O₂ are used. Boiling point of fluid medium is higher than both material and gaseous medium temperature.

EFFECT: safe method for working with harmful and aggressive materials and gaseous media.
