FIELD: technology for measuring nuclear radiations.
SUBSTANCE: during measuring samples on liquid scintillating spectrometer or radiometer for building calibrating characteristic with consideration of fading of scintillations one working standard is utilized, representing a hermetic vessel, transparent for radiation spectrum, containing standard solution of radio-nuclide in homogeneous mixture with liquid scintillator, into which inert quenching admixture is additionally injected, evenly distributed over volume of homogeneous mixture of liquid scintillator with standard solution of radio-nuclide, capable for multiple times after application of external effect to working standard to change its concentration of this mixture in time and useable for repeatable modeling of level of scintillations fading monotonously changing in time in working standard during extensive service time.
EFFECT: simplified realization, improved comfort of operation, removed limit on number of experimental points of measured characteristic and radiation safety.
