FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves carrying out separate treatment of seromuscular and mucosubmucous layers of vermiform appendix. Ring-shaped incision is made in seromuscular layer of mobilized appendix 5 mm far in distal direction from ligatures tightened on its base. Mucous and mucosubmucous appendix layers are cut off as close as possible to the ligatures. Point electrocoagulation of retained mucous membrane part using a hook-shaped electrode, forming thick wall funnel roller opened towards the abdominal cavity containing no mucous membrane.
EFFECT: reduced risk of stump inconsistency.
