FIELD: electrothermics; devices for production of high-temperature mineral melts.

SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to electrothermics and may be used for production of high-temperature mineral and other melts in production of the different filaments possessing the heat-insulating and sound- insulating properties and used in construction, mechanical engineering and other branches of industry. The invention ensures solution of the problem of development of the power-saving, pollution-free, highly-productive and reliable method of production of the high-temperature mineral melts and the device for its realization. The upper part of the device is made in the form of the slant channel for feeding the mineral raw materials, in the front part of the smelting chamber there is the mounted inverted refractory barrel made in the form of the cylinder or a prism. In the lower part of the refractory barrel there is a tap-hole and the overflow opening for the melt overflow into its internal volume, where the additional heating is conducted due to the adjoining heating interelectrode volume with the further heating-up of the tap-hole chute, the majority of which is located in the upper part of the indicated barrel. The initial raw material being melted overflows for its further heating into the internal volume of the refractory barrel, and the qualitative melt through the so formed double-lever power system of the overflow easily passes to the following operations. After the termination of the smelt the remained melt leaves through the overflow opening and the tap-hole.

EFFECT: the invention ensures solution of the problem of development of the power-saving, pollution-free, highly-productive and reliable method of production of the high-temperature mineral melts and the device for its realization.
