FIELD: electrothermics.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device is used for production of various fibers possessing heat- and sound-insulating properties which are used in construction engineering, mechanical engineering and other fields of industry. Proposed device has body with electrode melting chamber inside it; this melting chamber is provided with built-in electrode plates having holes for positive displacement of electrodes. Mounted in front part of melting chamber is overturned sleeve equipped with tap hole and overflow hole in its lower part and drain tap-hole in upper part.
EFFECT: saving of energy; ecological safety; enhanced reliability.
