FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in internal combustion engines, steam and pneumatic motors, compressors and vacuum pumps. Proposed machine contains rotor with multiple-turn helical groove on working surface, stator with cut, gate tightly fitted in cut and made in form of disk with projections engaging with helical groove of rotor. Radial section of helical groove has form of half-circle, outer part of each projection of gate engaging with surface of rotor helical groove is made spherical, and angle of said section of circle and arrangement of the latter relative to equatorial plane of said rotor and arrangement of inlet and outlet ports of stator relative to rotor and direction of rotation of the latter and/or direction of helical groove of rotor relative to sense of its rotation are chosen depending on design of machine determined by its functions.
EFFECT: simplified design, increased efficiency, enlarged functional capabilities.
