FIELD: material working, namely processes for electric spark strengthening of surfaces of parts of electrically conducting materials.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of forming coatings with alternating layers formed by electric spark and non electric spark strengthening. According to invention first layer is applied by electric spark alloying in such a way that for heat conduction coefficients of part material and material of first layer next condition is satisfied: λcoat ≥ λp where λcoat and λp - respectively heat conduction coefficients of materials of formed layer of coating applied by electric spark alloying and base material. Second layer is applied by means of electrode whose material creates with material of previous alloyed layer of coating indefinite solid solutions of predetermined content. Then surface is strengthened by electric spark alloying with use of electrode for forming additional coating.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency, improved quality of strengthened surfaces of parts.
